a note from the artist: I wrote this song as a tribute to those lost in the Texas floods on July 4, 2025. I grew up spending every summer on the Guadeloupe River, five minutes down the road from Camp Mystic, so this tragedy hit home for me.
"heaven in the hills" is my offering to the families, specifically the mothers, of those taken too soon, and the entire hill country community affected. I love you all. You are always on my mind.
